‘Pitaji mai firse fail hogaya’ – Fans react as Sanju Samson gets out after scoring just 13 runs in series decider against West Indies

India and West Indies are currently clashing against each other in the 5th and final match of the ongoing 5-match T20I series at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida on Sunday, August 13. Both teams entered the ground in the hope to win the match and also win the series.

Meanwhile, India’s wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson disappointed his fans once again as he got dismissed on just 13 runs. During the 2nd ball of the 11th over, Samson lost his wicket and Romario Shepherd continued his brilliance in the series. It was a length delivery just outside off, Samson’s feet didn’t move and he was just looking to open the face of the blade and run it down to the third man, it caught a thick inside edge and Pooran took a good low catch to his right.

Samson’s continuous failure to cash in on the opportunities

Samson has played all 5 matches of the T20I series but failed to produce a single big knock. He often remains in the headlines for getting chances to play for the Indian team but now as he got too many opportunities, he failed to capitalise it. He will be next seen in the upcoming 3-match T20I series against Ireland and it’d be interesting to see if he performs well in the series or will have another disappointing run there as well.

Before Samson, India’s openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill also displayed a horrible batting performance as both went back to the pavilion inside the powerplay. Surprisingly, both of them batted brilliantly in the 4th T20I which was played at the same venue but failed to produce anything special in the series decider match.

Coming back to Samson, it is believed that India’s tour of Ireland can be his last chance to prove his ability as the Indian team are set to play the upcoming Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup as well. And the team is still in the search for a proper wicketkeeper-batter due to which, Samson’s chances are still there to be in the team.
