‘There is no doubt that we can defeat Australia here in Australia’-Mohammad Hafeez

“There is no doubt that we can defeat Australia here in Australia’ – Team Director Mohammad Hafeez. Is this even possible in the next two matches? #AUSvsPAK” posted an X user named Farid Khan. To the post of the X user, Vaughan replied saying that Pakistan has no chance to win the series. It is indeed very difficult to beat Australia in their own backyard in the longest format of the game.

Barring India, no other team has been able to beat Australia in Australia. India did it twice in the last 5-6 years. In 2018/19, India won the series in Australia for the first time in their history. In 2020/21, they won it again and established an incredible legacy as a visiting side. Pakistan, on the other hand, have lost all their 16 Test matches against Australia in their recent matches.
