Former India captain Virat Kohli is renowned for keeping things light-hearted on the pitch by being witty and jovial with his teammates when fielding. However, he also displays his aggression when it is called for. On the cricket pitch, there have also been a number of humorous instances where Kohli’s enthusiasm and vigour were evident.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on the internet where Kohli can be seen celebrating after smashing a boundary during the 1st Test against West Indies. The incident took place during India’s first innings. Kohli came to bat at No. 2 position and was struggling to get a boundary. However, after facing 81 balls, Kohli finally smashed a cover drive which went for a four.

Kohli has performed really well in the white ball format recently but couldn’t keep the same form in the longest format. However, this 2-match Test series against West Indies will help him to gain his form and game style back. The right-handed batter is currently unbeaten on the score of 36 runs which included only 1 four.

I wanted to keep doing it for my country: Yashasvi Jaiswal

On the other hand, debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal created history as he became the 3rd Indian player to score a century in his debut Test inning. Jaiswal who batted with almost a strike rate of 200 in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 displayed a totally different side of the batting. Jaiswal is currently unbeaten on the score of 143 runs, which includes 14 fours. After the end of the 2nd day, Jaiswal talked about his knock and thanked everyone who supported him throughout his journey.

“I think this is one of the emotional knock for me, it’s difficult to get opportunities in the Indian team, I would like to thank everyone, the supporters, team management and Rohit Bhai. The pitch is on the slower side and the outfield is very slow, it was difficult and challenging, it was pretty hot and I wanted to keep doing it for my country, just play ball-by-ball and enjoy my cricket.” Jaiswal was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
