Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has taken a fresh jibe at Pakistan fans after the India-Pakistan game was called off. Talking about the game, the Men In Blue won the toss and elected to bat first on a pacer-friendly surface and overcast conditions. It was a bold decision considering India’s middle-order woes in the last few years.

However, despite having the failed top-order in the game and losing four wickets, the middle-order did extremely well. The likes of Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya took the team to a fighting total in the game. They scored 80 plus runs and put together 138 runs for the fifth wicket. From being 66/4, the team ended up getting 266 all-out in 48.5 overs.

For the Pakistan side, Shaheen Afridi took four wickets while Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took three each. However, before Pakistan could even try to chase it down, rain ensured that the game was abandoned thanks to its persistence.

Irfan Pathan’s ‘Padosiyon’ jibe started in October last year

Notably, last year, after the T20 World Cup 2022 game between India and Pakistan, the 2007 winner took to Twitter and wrote

Talking about the game, Pakistan amassed 159 runs batting first. In reply, after losing four wickets for 31 runs, the Men In Blue chased down the target thanks to Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. After the game, Pathan took to Twitter to take a jibe at the Pakistani fans.

Since then, a lot of times this old tweet of his has gone viral and he still continues to get replies on this. Meanwhile, his recent tweet was about Pakistani fans not breaking TV as they have been notoriously infamous for over the years.
