MS Dhoni likely to make his acting debut with Thalapathy Vijay in Venkat Prabhu directorial ‘Thalapathy 68’

Cricket players from all across the world have made appearances in renowned Bollywood and regional films. From Shikhar Dhawan to Brett Lee, there are many cricketers who chose to entertain Indian fans with movies. While the viewers enjoyed watching the athletes, they would be shocked to find that the former legendary Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is likely to make his acting debut.

However, Dhoni might be seen making his debut in a Tamil film alongside superstar Thalapathy Vijay. We all are aware of how close is Dhoni to Tamil Nadu as he has been playing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2008. He has led the team to 5 IPL title wins in his career due to which he has earned a massive fanbase in Tamil Nadu.

It is being reported that Dhoni might get appeared in Vijay’s upcoming action-thriller Thalapathy 68 which is being directed by popular film-maker Venkat Prabhu. However, there is no official confirmation about the news that has been made so far but it’d be a treat to watch two legends together in a single frame.

MS Dhoni will consider acting in a movie: Sakshi Dhoni

Dhoni recently produced a Tamil movie LGM under his own production house. He also attended the special screening of the movie recently with his wife Sakshi Dhoni. Sakshi was asked by one of the reporters about Dhoni making his acting debut, to which she replied, “If a character with good story & good message comes, then MS Dhoni will consider acting in a movie,” Sakshi was quoted a saying by Zee News.

Sakshi was also asked if Dhoni ever decides to do a movie, what would be the genre. She responded and said that it’d always be an action movie as Dhoni likes to be in action and he often remains in action on the field during a cricket match.

“Action. He is always in action. What would you choose for him? If we plan to make a movie with MS Dhoni as a hero, then it will only be an action-packed entertainer. If a character with a good story and good message comes, then MS Dhoni will consider acting in a movie,” she said.
