MS Dhoni gives diplomatic reply to RCB fan’s request of joining the team

MS Dhoni was in a promotion event recently, where he happened to be asked an innocent question by an RCB fan. The person claimed himself to be an RCB fan in the last 16 years. He acknowledged how sad he was for not being able to see the team not winning an IPL title even once to date. The fan then asked a tricky question to MS Dhoni.

A fan of RCB asked MS Dhoni if he would be willing to join RCB to help them win at least one trophy, just like he helped CSK to win 5 trophies. “I’ve been a die-hard RCB fan for 16 years and like the way you’ve won five titles for CSK, I want you to come support us and win one trophy for us,” asked than fan to the former Indian captain.

Dhoni replied to it in a very diplomatic way. Given the fact that he is the captain of CSK for the upcoming IPL 2024, Dhoni intended to keep his reply simple. The former Indian cricketer said that RCB is a good team and so are other teams in the league. He added that not everything goes according to one’s plan in a sport like cricket. Dhoni added that IPL is a league where all the 10 teams are strong.

The 42-year-old added that injuries are a part and parcel of the game and sometimes hugely impact the game. Dhoni then added that he has a lot to worry about CSK for the IPL 2024. “The problem arises if you are missing a few players because of injury. So, they are a very good team, and everyone has a fair chance in IPL. As of now, I have so many things to worry about in my team,” added Dhoni.

Thala then wished RCB the best of luck for their campaign in the IPL 2024 and said he could do nothing more than that. He jokingly said he could not betray his own fans. “I would like to wish every team all the very best, but more than that, I can’t do much as of now. Imagine me coming out of the way to support or help some other team. How will our fans feel?” concluded Dhoni.
