‘Mittal sahab, dil chhu liya aapne’ – Fans react on popular enterpreneur Anupam Mittal’s heartful gesture, promises to provide cricket kit to Nepal cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi

Nepal cricket team created history by qualifying in the ongoing Asia Cup for the first time in history. They outplayed UAE in the final match of the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup in May and became the 6th team to participate in the tournament. It was quite a proud moment for the small nation. However, they were eliminated from the tournament after the group stage as they couldn’t win a single match.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s left-arm orthodox bowler Lalit Rajbanshi recently revealed that he doesn’t have any cricket kit to practice with. Rajbanshi revealed that he has a bat to play in nets but he doesn’t have a proper bat to play in international matches and he has to rely on his teammates for the bats. 

“I’ve bat to play in nets, but I don’t have a suitable one for international matches. During actual games, I rely on my teammates’ bats & they lend me their bats. I mostly use Kushal Bhurtel bat.” Rajbanshi was quoted as saying by a Twitter user.

Great gesture by Anupam Mittal

Meanwhile, a popular Indian entrepreneur and reality show Shark Tank star Anupam Mittal took to Twitter and promised that he would provide a cricket kit to Rajbanshi as soon as he gets in contact with him. This gesture of Mittal was appreciated by many people on social media and they lauded him a lot.

“Pls put him in touch with me, can try & help him with his kit,” Mittal wrote on Twitter.

With the emerging talent in the cricket scenario of Nepal, it is important to provide the needs of a cricketer who can work or practice to become a successful cricketer. The cricket association from Nepal should really look into this matter and fulfil the basic needs of their cricketers. 

Nepal delivered a great batting performance against the Indian team in a match in the ongoing Asia Cup where they scored around 240 runs in the first innings of the match. Many cricketers from the country were also given some tips and advice from several Indian cricketers after the match.
