Manchester United set to sign ex City player during January transfer window?

Struggling English giants Manchester United are currently 8th in the table after losing their last game to Nottingham Forest. 2023 began brightly for Erik Ten Hag and his team with a League Cup title and third place finish in the league.

As the January transfer window has opened there is optimism around the corridors of Old Trafford. Jim Ratcliffe’s 25% stake in the team is set to witness few investments on the players as well.

Jadon Sancho is on his way back to Dortmund on a loan deal in the coming days. With Antony misfiring and Facundo Pellestri and Amad Diallo not yet ready Erik Ten has problems. One man though can solve the issue if the move come through this January transfer window.

Manchester United set to make a move for hotshot winger –

Young Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise is more likely to become the first January signing for Manchester United. The 22-year-old has caught the attention of the biggest clubs in England and Europe with his blistering performances for the Eagles.

Michael Olise has a stellar CV despite being just 22-years-old. The young winger began his career with Arsenal at the tender age of 8. The very same year Chelsea took Olise to Stamford Bridge where he stayed put for 7 years.

This was followed by a move to Manchester City which saw Michael Olise spend 12 months honing his craft. After leaving the Blues, Olise signed a deal with Reading FC where the young winger mad his professional debut. In 67 games for Reading, Olise scored 7 goals and caught the attention of Crystal Palace.

Palace paid just over 8 Million Euros for the youngster and unleashed his talents to its fullest. This year the 22-year-old has played a key role during an underwhelming season where his are 14th in the table.

With the ability to run at the defense with speed and highly skilled technical proficiency, Olise is also very strong physically. There are reports that United can land the player who is valued at 35 Million Euros in the summer. But Jadon Sancho’s return to Germany could pave the way for the young winger making his move to Manchester United pretty quickly.
