Makers of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ announce its release date

The new year 2024 has turned out to be a big day for film lovers. Many movie makers are releasing crucial announcements like titles, posters, and release dates of their movies on the day which is considered to be one of the biggest days in a calendar year. Thalapathy Vijay’s 68th had its title announced yesterday and will also have the second look poster released today evening.

Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule‘ have come up with the release date of the movie with a new poster. The movie is set to be released on the 15th of August later this year on the occasion of Independence Day. The movie is set to clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Returns’ which will also be released on the same day to make the most of the long weekend.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel to the 2021 movie ‘Pushpa 1: The Rise’ which was a mammoth hit in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and North India. Having already cashed in on a good number of fans, the franchise is set to grow on a larger scale with a huge release. Back when the movie was released in 2021, there was a huge craze for it, particularly for its songs.

Popularity of Allu Arjun and Pushpa

The Allu Arjun starrer’s movie had many songs which went viral on the internet. Reels and videos were made by the users. Even popular cricketers like David Warner and Ravindra Jadeja made videos related to the movie showering their love. The movie starred other prominent characters like Fahaad Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, who are likely to be in the sequel as well.

The movie was directed by Sukumar, who will also be directing the sequel. Both movies in the franchise are produced by ‘Mythri Movie Makers’. Revealing on X, Mythri Movie Makers wrote “Pushpa Raj is coming back this year to rule the worldwide box office.
