A video of former India skipper MS Dhoni watching Chandrayaan 3 live has been going viral. On August 23, a lot of Indians in the country and around the globe were glued to their screens. Apparently, the landing of the Chandrayaan carrying its rover was supposed to take place. After a wait of more than a month, they were about to witness history.

After all, India became the first country to reach the south pole of the moon. For the unversed, this part of the moon never sees the sunlight and no country has been able to successfully land their respective rovers. While a lot of Indians have shared the video of Chandrayaan landing, Dhoni watched the history being made. The video of him doing so has been going viral.

India players can take inspiration from MS Dhoni during knockouts: Sanjay Manjrekar

Meanwhile, recently, former India cricket Sanjay Manjrekar spoke about how India can play knockout games. In more than a week, the Asian side will be in action in the Asia Cup 2023. India will play their first game against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2. Apart from this, India will host the ODI World Cup 2023 in October-November.

With India chasing their first World title after the Champions Trophy 2013, Manjrekar has called for the players to take inspiration from Dhoni.

“For India, in the World events, it’s not about getting through to semis,” Manjrekar said on Star Sports/ESPN Cricinfo’s ‘Selection Day Live’ program.

“India’s problem has been the big night. I just hope and pray, with the kind of talent that they have, that they just play like Mahendra Singh Dhoni used to play a semi-final or a World Cup final, like it was any other game. That’s the only challenge for India considering their record in the big tournaments,” he added.

India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2023 was announced a few days back. For the World Cup, the team will be announced late next month.
