List of Indian Cricketers invited for Grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya

As Ayodhya gears up for the much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir, a distinguished list of invitees includes some of India’s cricketing legends. The ceremony, scheduled for January 22, has garnered attention not only for its cultural significance but also for the notable presence of cricket stalwarts.

Cricket icons such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni are among the esteemed guests invited to witness the consecration ceremony. The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has meticulously organised the arrangements, encompassing both the main event and the accommodations for attendees.

India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, will join the cricketers on this distinguished list, alongside Ravindra Jadeja, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Virender Sehwag, and Mithali Raj. Reports suggest that Virat Kohli has taken special leave to attend the ceremony ahead of the upcoming England Test series, while the attendance of other players remains uncertain.

Notably, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rahul Dravid are all expected to be part of the team for the England Tests, raising questions about their participation in the Ayodhya event just three days before the series opener. The cricketing luminaries will join other notable sportspersons on the guest list, including India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, chess maestro Vishwanathan Anand, badminton ace Saina Nehwal, tennis legend Leander Paes, badminton sensation PV Sindhu, and track and field icon PT Usha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, scheduled to include a visit to Kuber Navratna Tila within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Complex. The ceremony will also feature the unveiling of the bronze statue of Jatayu, enhancing the cultural and spiritual significance of the event. The presence of these cricketing luminaries adds a touch of stardom to this historic occasion, symbolising the convergence of sports and spirituality in the cultural tapestry of India.
