Legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni files criminal fraud case against former Business partners
MS Dhoni has filed a criminal fraud case against the former Business partners involving a huge sum. The Legendary Indian captain has accused the likes of Soumya Vishwash and Mihir Diwakar of Aarka Sports and Management Limited of committing a huge fraud against him. The former Indian batter has alleged the two to have deceived him in a deal in regard to the establishment of cricket academies.
The CSK captain has reported a mammoth financial loss of over INR 15 crores. The case was filed by the star cricketer in October 2023 at JM-24 Rajkumar Pandey’s court. There was a legal agreement between Diwakar and Dhoni which was set in 2017. The deal was to set up cricket academies a collaboration with each other. However, the former partners of Dhoni failed to meet the agreement.
As a result, Dhoni has decided to take legal action against his former partners. At the court, the discussion regarding the breach of the agreement took place. There were hearings regarding the case between the two for a breach of conditions which were set in 2017. As Diwakar failed to follow the conditions, there has been a loss of over INR 17 crores for the former Indian WK batter.
MS Dhoni’s childhood friend files case
Interestingly, Dhoni’s childhood friend Simant Lohani also filed a case. The friend of Dhoni appeared in court and claimed that there were threats and abuses from Aarka Sports that threatened him after attempting to take legal action against the association. Dayanand Singh represented the former captain of India from Vidhi associates against Aarka Sports.
There have been increasingly alarming fraud cases with cricketers which have been reported recently. In the past, the likes of Aakash Chopra and Rishabh Pant had also reported the same. Dhoni is the latest cricketer to join the list. The star cricketer will be in action in March, April, and May later this year where he will be leading CSK in the 17th edition of the IPL. CSK would be hoping to successfully defend their title.
