‘Koi baat nahi 1 din or wait kar lenge’ – Fans react as Akshay Kumar postpones ‘OMG 2’ trailer launch, check out the reason

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is coming up with the sequel to his 2012 released movie OMG. Akshay has a lot of expectations from the movie as his recent projects have not done well at the box office. OMG 2 has a talented star cast with Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil and Yami Gautam included in the movie.

The trailer of the movie was supposed to launch on Wednesday, August 2, but Akshay took to his social media handle and announced that the trailer has been postponed and will be launched on Thursday, August 3. The reason behind the postponement of the trailer is the demise of popular art director Nitin Desai.

“Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity. He worked on so many of my filmsâ€æ this is a huge loss. Out of respect, we are not releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. Will launch it tomorrow at 11 am. Om Shanti,” Akshay wrote on Twitter.

Desai was associated with multiple Bollywood movies

Desai was found dead at his own ND Studios after he committed suicide in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Desai took this stressful decision because of the financial tension. He defaulted on a loan of INR 250 crores and was finding it difficult to pay back. Desai was associated with multiple superhits movies like Munna Bhai MBBS, Devdas, Lagaan, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and more. Desai’s close friend and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) general secretary Vinod Tawde said that he used to tell Desai that he should start afresh.

“I used to often speak and counsel him. I had told him how Amitabh Bachchan had faced immense losses and come back to life again. We had told him that even if the studio was attached due to loans, he could start afresh. It’s very sad to hear about his death. I spoke to him the day before,” Tawde was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
