Kajol reveals unheard story behind Shah Rukh Khan’s struggle during ‘DDLJ’ poster shoot

It will not be wrong to say that Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are one of the most popular and loved on-screen pairs in the Indian film industry. Their chemistry always helps a movie to become a blockbuster. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge (DDLJ) is one of the most popular movies of all time. 

Meanwhile, Kajol recently made a shocking revelation which is related to DDLJ. Kajol revealed an unheard story behind the iconic DDLJ poster in which Shah Rukh lifted Kajol on his shoulder and managed to keep a smile on his face. Kajol revealed that Shah Rukh had a frozen shoulder after he lifted her on his shoulder after the photo shoot for the poster.

“One thing that comes to my mind is how I got into that position by the way. Ek toh bechara Shah Rukh kandhe pe uthaake… mujhe itna bura lag raha tha uske liye, itna bura lag raha tha (Poor Shah Rukh was standing with me on his shoulder, I was feeling so bad for him). I was like, ‘are you sure you can do this?’ He said, ‘Don’t worry, I am strong.’ I was like, ‘ya, but you have to carry me on your shoulder. Will you be able to?'” Kajol was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Apart from DDLJ, both the actors featured in multiple movies like Baazigar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name is Khan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Dilwale. However, Kajol further added on the incident and said that she was really worried about him but she also mentioned that Shah Rukh sweetly carried him and didn’t make her feel heavy at all.

“I was really worried about him. I think he took a hit on his masculinity ‘How can you say that to me? I am a guy.’ He very sweetly carried me and didn’t make me feel heavy at all… Later, there was a frozen shoulder. Us waqt tha ‘wow’ (that time it was wow).” Kajol added.
