Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has hit his second double hundred in his first-class career in the ongoing Quaid-E-Azam trophy In the game between Lahore Whites and Karachi Whites, the visitors, Karachi won the toss and elected to field first. The decision proved wrong as the home side dominated on a flat track of the Gaddafi Stadium.

Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad and Ali Zaryab put together 153 runs for the first wicket. The former scored 65 before being removed by a recent Pakistan discard, Noman Ali. Another former Pakistan Abid Ali (36) added another 79 runs with Ali. Tayyab Tahir (15) was one of the two players to miss out on a flatty. Zaryab (222), skipper Saad Nasim (61), and Fahad Munir (72) helped the team reach 509/9 before declaring the innings.

Sarfaraz Ahmed ensured Karachi Whites got first innings lead

The former Pakistan skipper led the team in this game too. Meanwhile, after fielding for 137.2 overs, the visitors ensured that they got a first-innings lead as there was no chance of having any result in the game. Former Pakistan opener and domestic veteran, Khurram Manzoor and Ammad Alam put together 168 runs for the first wicket.

The latter scored 102 before being removed by Ahmed Daniyal. The Sind-based team saw only Danish Aziz (9) failing with the bat. The rest of the players managed to reach individual landmarks. Starting with Manzoor (110), he scored another FC hundred. Former Pakistan test vice-captain Asad Shafiq (113) scored another hundred in his career. Fahad Iqbal (61) was the only half-centurion in this inning.

At 433/5, the 2017 Champions Trophy-winning skipper and Rameez Aziz put together an unbeaten 351 runs for the sixth wicket. The former scored an unbeaten 200 runs while Aziz amassed 151 runs.
