Jawan box office collection day 2- Mints Rs 200 crore globally!

Jawan, directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, broke the record for the biggest-ever opening in Hindi film history and added another enormous sum to its nett domestic take on Friday. Jawan made Rs 53 crore on day two, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, which is almost as much as the opening day take of SRK’s most recent movie, Pathaan.

Before Jawan outperformed it by almost 20% on Thursday, Pathaan held the record for the greatest opening day in Hindi film history. The masala action movie comfortably beat Pathaan’s record of Rs 57 crore by earning Rs 74 crore in India on day one across all languages. The movie’s two-day nett sum in India is currently at Rs 127 crore after an estimated Rs 53 crore on Friday. An estimated Rs 47 crore of this, according to Sacnilk, came from the Hindi-language release.

Jawan, SRK’s first pan-Indian release, is also available in dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions. Along with South Indian actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, who play the protagonist’s love interest and antagonist, respectively, the movie also stars Atlee. Overall countrywide occupancy for the Hindi version of Jawan was 42%, with night shows once more bringing in the most viewers (70%).

The NCR region recorded 53% occupancy on day two compared to Mumbai’s 43%. The Hindi version had the best performance in Chennai, where there was a 66% occupancy rate, for the second day in a row. Comparatively, on day two, Jawan’s occupancy rates in Tamil and Telugu were 40% and 57%, respectively.

Red Chillies Entertainment announced on Friday that Jawan has surpassed Pathaan’s previous record of Rs 106 crore with a worldwide opening day gross of Rs 129 crore. In just two days since its international release, Jawan has surpassed the Rs 200 crore gross threshold, according to trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan. Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, agreed.

On the other hand, according to Box Office India, the movie has made over Rs 230 crore internationally and will complete its opening weekend with about Rs 500 crore. Gadar 2 also sustained more damage. If Jawan surpasses Pathaan’s all-time record of Rs 543 crore before the weekend is up, the movie will have earned Rs 510 crore at the domestic box office.
