Former World Champions Pakistan is currently in Hyderabad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in India. When they arrived in India for the first time after 2016, they reached the capital city of Telangana. The Green Brigade played their two warm-up games against Australia and New Zealand and will play their World Cup games against Netherlands (October 6) and Sri Lanka (October 10).

After these games, they will move to Ahmedabad for the high-octane game against India. Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming tournament, Pakistan players such as skipper Babar Azam, pacers Hassan Ali, and Haris Rauf, and opening batter Imam-ul Haq compared the biryanis of Karachi and Hyderabad. All these players called Hyderabadi biryani better than Karachi one in a video uploaded on Cricket World Cup’s Instagram handle.

Pakistan lost to Australia and New Zealand in warm-up games

Talking about the 1992 World Cup winners, they had a poor warm-up campaign. Even though the positive for them was the batting of Saud Shakeel and Iftikhar Ahmed, the bowling looked completely flat, apart from one phase against Australia on October 3. Against New Zealand, they failed to defend 345 runs.

Not to forget, Rachin Ravindra, who bats at number eight and plays as a bowler, opened the batting and smashed 97 runs. On the other hand, after reducing Australia to 174/5, Pakistan bowlers managed to concede 351 at the end of the innings. Now, the Asian side needs to pull their socks up to do better in the tournament.
