Currently, the Indian team are surrounded by injuries woes due to some of the crucial players who are expected to play for the national side in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. Jasprit Bumrah is out because of injury, KL Rahul sustained a calf injury during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Shreyas Iyer has been out of action for a long time now and India is certainly now expecting them to get fit before the marquee event.

The ODI World Cup 2023 will definitely see India entering the tournament as firm favourites to win the tournament considering that on the previous three occasions, it was the host nation who came out victorious in ODI World. But the exclusion of these prime players from the team is certainly an alarming sign for the team management and hence their recovery has been the primary goal for the team management now.

All these players are at National Cricket Academy (NCA) and are going through the rehabilitation program. In the latest turn of events and the news about their recovery, Bumrah has already hit the nets and is seen bowling with the full flow as well as now Rahul has also started hitting the nets and was seen practising in indoor nets.

It is certainly a positive sign for the Indian team as both of them be crucial when it comes to India’s chances in the ODI World Cup 2023. The India Wicket keeper batter had sustained this calf injury in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) which even saw him miss out on the rest of the tournaments along with that the star India batter also missed the all-important final of the World Test Championship which was played on June 7.

Indian team is currently on tour to West Indies where the team will be playing two Test matches followed by three One Internationals and lastly five T20 games. Both Rahul and Bumrah are expected to return to action by Asia Cup which is scheduled to be played in the month of August.
