In the ongoing second ODI between West Indies and India, the home team won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the game, the Windies needed to win to keep the series alive. After all, they lost the first ODI by five wickets. Meanwhile, the visitors had a great as Ishan and Shubman Gill scored 90 runs for the first wicket.

The former scored the second back-to-back fifty while Gill 34. The first wicket to fall was Gill to Gudakesh Motie in the 17th over. In the next over, Kishan was caught at point off Romario Shepherd. Two overs later, the latter took the wicket of Axar Patel with a short ball the left-hander failed to avoid. Stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya was at the crease at this point.

He got out to Jayden Seales after scoring seven runs. Before going on a short rain break, Sanju Samson got out after scoring nine runs.

India bowled out for 181 runs

After the rain break, the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Suryakumar Yadav needed to build a big partnership and take the team to a fighting total. They could only 33 runs to the total before becoming another wicket of Shepherd. On the other hand, Yadav (24) was looking good but failed to go any longer.

At 148/7, it was certain that the Men In Blue won’t go any longer. As it turned out, they have been bowled out for 181 runs. For the home side, the likes of Motie and Shepherd took three wickets each. On the other hand, Alzarri Joseph took two while Seales and Yannic Cariah took one each.
