‘Iska Chinnaswamy main kya hoga’ – Fans troll Royal Challengers Bangalore for buying Yash Dayal in IPL Auction

Yash Dayal has found a new home in Royal Challengers Bangalore for the IPL 2024 season. The left-arm pacer was released by Gujarat Titans after a horrendous season last year. Rinku Singh smashed his fellow UP teammate for 5 sixes during an epic game between KKR and GT last year.

After that thrashing Yash Dayal rarely got any game time as he was benched for most of the season. In-fact the last game Yash Dayal played was against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chinnaswamy stadium.

The left-arm fast bowler was hit for 39 runs from his four overs. His only wicket of the game was Dinesh Karthik before getting released for the new season. Fans earlier weren’t happy with RCB going for Alzarri Joseph during the auction.

Yash Dayal’s move to RCB angers fans –

IPL 2024 Auction hasn’t been kind to fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their latest acquisition of Yash Dayal for INR 5 Crores was called out by the fans. It was widely hoped that RCB will go all out for either Pat Cummins or Mitchell Starc but that didn’t happen.

The 26-year-old has played 14 games in the IPL picking 13 wickets with a best of 3/40. After his impressive debut in IPL 2022 season, Yash Dayal was given a call-up to the Indian team. The fast bowler though suffered an injury before he could head to Bangladesh for the three-match ODI series.

Mumbai Indians fans were delighted with the capture of Gerald Coetzee. The South African bowler was a huge performer during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. Dilshan Madushanka was the other pacer who has joined the five time winners. The left-arm-pacer was brought for INR 4.6 Crores on Tuesday which presented yet another smart buy.

In a surprising move, Kartik Tyagi was brought for just INR 60 Lakhs by Gujarat Titans. The 23-year-old joined his former under-19 teammate Sushant Mishra in the GT camp. The left-arm pacer was brought for INR 2.2 Crores by the 2022 IPL winners.

Shardul Thakur is back with Chennai Super Kings as the current champions brought him for INR 4 Crores. The 32-year-old has enjoyed his time in the IPL during his association with the MS Dhoni-led side.

Here’s how the fans reacted –
