Irfan Pathan posts cryptic tweet regarding a cricketer being fit but not available to play domestic cricket

Irfan Pathan has taken a jibe at an undisclosed cricketer with his latest tweet on X. The former Indian cricketer found it difficult to understand how a cricketer could remain fit and not be available for selection or play in domestic cricket. “Finding it perplexing how someone can be fit enough to practice but not play domestic cricket,” wrote Irfan on his handle on X. 

The former India bowler asked how it makes sense for a cricketer to not play in domestic cricket despite being fit to play. “How does this even make sense?” added Irfan in his statement. As soon as Pathan gave his opinion on the undisclosed cricketer, the fans started wondering who he was referring to. Many cricketers came out in the discussion. 

But most of them felt that Irfan was referring to Ishan Kishan. In the last few series, the Southpaw has decided to stay away from playing Test cricket. Reports claimed that Kishan needed some rest after taking part in major tournaments like the ODI WC 2023 and the Asia Cup 2023. In the series against England, Kishan was not picked by the Indian management. The fans of Kishan criticized the move of the selectors online.

Some of the reports also claimed that the Indian Cricket Board and the selectors are not happy with the attitude of the players. While Rahul Dravid has maintained that the doors for Kishan to make a comeback are always open, it does not seem like Kishan is interested in playing for India ahead of the IPL 2024. Kishan was recently seen in nets practising alongside Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya. 

There was a huge outrage from the fans regarding the preferences of the star cricketer. The domestic team of Kishan, Jharkhand, claimed that Kishan made himself unavailable for selection. After everything that has happened around Kishan, Pathan might have posted the cryptic message on X. The fans have agreed with the opinion of Irfan and have bashed the young batter from Jharkhand.
