When and where will the auction take place?
Come December 19, the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai will be the epicentre of cricketing decisions, as the auction kicks off at 11:30 am local time (1:00 pm IST). Fans can catch every moment live on the Star Sports Network on TV or via the JioCinema app for an immersive streaming experience.
How many players will be auctioned?
A staggering 1166 players threw their hats into the ring for consideration, but only 333, including 214 Indians and 119 overseas players, made the final shortlist. Among these, 116 players boast capped status, while 215 are uncapped, and two players hail from Associate nations. The ten IPL teams collectively have 77 slots left to be filled, with 30 reserved for overseas players.

Who will be the auctioneer?
Adding a historic touch to the event, Mallika Sagar steps into the spotlight as the auctioneer, succeeding Hugh Edmeades. Mallika recently hosted the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction on December 9, making her the first woman auctioneer in the 16-year history of the IPL.
