Three-time IPL finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore have managed to get the players they wanted during the IPL 2024 player auction. Ahead of the auction, they retained most of their players from last season. During the auction, even though they tried to get a few players, they failed to do so. Meanwhile, now that the auction is over and the real business will start in the next calendar year, let’s have a look at the best-playing XI.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s best playing XI for IPL 2024

  1. Top-order

Talking about the top order, one can be sure that former and current captains, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis respectively open the innings. They did the same last season and also, they don’t have many options apart from Will Jacks, who opens the batting in white ball cricket. Apart from this, can go with Rajat Patidar at number three, who was their best find in 2022 although as a replacement player.

2. Middle-order and all-rounders

In the middle-order, players such as Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudesai, Cameron Green, and Dinesh Karthik (as wicketkeeper) might play. While the likes of Maxwell, Green, and Karthik are certain to play, Prabhudesai may or may not play but needs to bat in the middle order. After all, in the 2023 season, the team suffered from middle-order problems.

3. Bowlers

Talking about bowling, Mohammed Siraj, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, and Karn Sharma can play. While the likes of Maxwell and Green will provide fifth and sixth bowling options, the likes of Siraj, Ferguson, Dayal, and Sharma can be the main bowlers.
