Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal turns 33, know about who he dated before marrying Dhanashree Verma

India’s veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal turned 33 on Sunday, July 23. Chahal will hope to make 2023 a big year for himself as the ODI World Cup is set to take place later this year. Chahal is the highest Indian wicket-taker in the shortest format and will soon be back in the squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series.

However, Chahal might love to spend all his day with his family and wife on the occasion of his 33rd birthday. But not many know that Chahal had a girlfriend before coming into a relationship with social media influencer and choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Chahal dated an entrepreneur named Tanishka Kapoor and was also spotted multiple times with her while going out.

He also used to like and comment on Tanishka’s Instagram posts. However, things didn’t go as they wanted and both parted ways. And then Chahal found his new love during the lockdown. Dhanashree used to post dance videos on a regular basis on her social media handle and one day Chahal asked her to teach him. It all started from there.

They first met, became friends, then couple and then eventually married each other. Dhanashree is often seen with Chahal whenever he goes on an overseas tour. She also comes to support her husband in almost every Indian Premier League (IPL) match. Recently, the couple came to popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast ‘The Ranveer Show’ where they revealed how they met and how things grew up between them.

“I Had DMd her, having seen her dance on TikTok and a number of other reels. I asked her if she gives classes as I had nothing to do in lockdown. I wanted to learn something new. Once I messaged her, we started with online classes. First two months, we didn’t talk about anything else but dance. I didn’t flirt at all. We are not even friends, only had dance-related talks,” Chahal was quoted as saying by Cricket Addictor.

“I asked her how are you so happy, even during this phase of lockdown. Then she started to talk about her life. That is where our conversations started. I liked her vibes. She is a self-made woman like I am a self-made man. I told my mom about her, that I like this girl. Then I told her (Dhanashree) I don’t want to date you, I want to marry you. I said that straight away. I was sure. We had a lot of chats,” Chahal further added.
