India lost ODI World Cup final 2023 due to association with Dream11 – Spiritual Guru
A spiritual guru claimed that India lost the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 due to its association with Dream11. The official sponsor of the Indian team, Dream11, is a betting app. The spiritual guru said that India lost the final as the players carried a jinx alongside them. The guru added that the god punished the players and the team for their involvement in promoting the betting apps.
In one of his speeches, the Guru Shri Devkinandan Thakur claimed that he analyzed the entire campaign of India from Game 1 against Australia till the final against the same team. Thakur said that India won all the games from the first match till the final but lost the big match against Australia. Thakur said that India lost it because the players inspired youngsters to take up gambling.
India lost the final of the tournament against Australia by 6 wickets. On the big day, the Australian players played as a unit and upset the Indian team by winning the final in front of a packed house at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. India lost the mental and tactical battle against Australia. The visiting side seemed to have better plans for the given final against the home side.
‘They badly lost the 11th match to Australia’ – Thakur
The Guru further claimed that India could not win the final against Australia and lost it badly. “They tell the youngsters, bet on Dream11, bet on Dream11… now take Dream11. They went only till 10 (wins), couldn’t make it 11 on the bounce. They badly lost the 11th match (to Australia),” added Thakur. India had its longest winning streak in a single edition of the ODI World Cup.
Gambling apps like Dream11, Fantasy11, Myteam11 and others have had a huge surge in subscribers. In the last few years, they have gained immense popularity. The Supreme Court of India declared them as apps based on skill and not based on betting. Many Indian players have promoted the app in the recent past.
