‘Idhar hi fass jaata hai har baar’ – Fans react as Shubman Gill gets out on 91 in strange manner against England in 3rd Test match

Shubman Gill misses his well-deserved century, yet again. In the ongoing Test match between India and England, Gill was batting well on 91 when he got run out. While Kuldeep Yadav was batting, the ball went to the mid-on where Ben Stokes was standing. As soon as the ball went to Stokes, he threw the ball towards the non-striker end while Shubman Gill was out of the crease. Thus, he had to return to the Pavillion.

Gill has been in terrific form since the morning. He played some classic shots which confirmed his century from the very beginning. However, this is not the first time Gill has been dismissed on 91. Previously, in the Gabba Test match against Australia, he was dismissed on 91 runs and missed his century in the historic Test match. However, after Gill’s dismissal, Yashasvi Jaiswal came back to bat again.

Yesterday before the day ended, Jaiswal seemed to have a thigh injury and left the field. However, he’s completely fine now and returned to bat. Considering the form he’s in, he’s playing on 125 runs and might reach 150 runs again. Also, India has taken the lead by 400 runs and will be looking to get something around 450 runs to restrict the English team from winning the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin to return for 3rd Test match

The Indian Cricket Board has confirmed the return of Ravichandran Ashwin to the 3rd Test match against England in Rajkot. The spinner had withdrawn from the Test match due to some unavoidable circumstances. However, he is set to return and play the second innings of the match. While he might not be available to bat in the second innings, he’ll return to bowling.

In the previous innings, Ashwin reached his 500 Test wickets milestone and became the 2nd player to enter the 500-wickets club. Moreover, if the Indian bowlers keep the momentum going, India might win the match and take the lead, 2-1.
