‘Hire ke parakh johri hi kar sakta hai’ – Fans react as Kamaal R Khan says Babar Azam is most ‘lukkha’ player amid India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup clash
Controversial Indian celebrity and self-proclaimed film critic, Kamaal R Khan (KRK), has stirred the pot once again, this time wading into the fervent cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan. In a recent tweet, KRK labelled Pakistan’s star batter and captain, Babar Azam, as the “most ‘lukkha’ player” amidst the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan clash in the ODI World Cup 2023 clash.
The term ‘lukkha’ is a colloquial, derogatory slang term often used in India to describe someone as unskilled or mediocre. Babar, however, has consistently proven his cricketing prowess, boasting an impressive batting record. However, KRK believes that he has never seen Babar scoring against a big team like India.
“I don’t know how this guy @babarazam258 is the world No.1 player. I have never seen him playing good against any big team. Actually, He is one of the most lukkha players, I have seen in my life. #INDvsPAK” KRK tweeted.
Brilliant bowling performance by the Indian team
KRK’s comment has ignited a storm of criticism and controversy, with cricket fans from Pakistan defending the talent and abilities of Babar Azam. As the World Cup rivalry intensifies, such comments only add fuel to the fire, making this highly-anticipated match even more interesting.
Talking about the match, India won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s decision proved right as the bowlers bundled out the Pakistan team on just 191 runs. Pakistan’s iconic duo of Babar and Mohammad Rizwan stitched an 82-run stand for the 3rd wicket but their dismissal brought the horrible collapse of Pakistan’s batting lineup.
They were 155/2 at one stage and ended up scoring just 191 runs with 7.1 overs to spare. India used their 6 bowlers and 5 of them picked up 2 wickets each for the team. Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja were the most economical bowlers as well.
Here’s how fans reacted:
