Talking about the game, Bengal batted first and didn’t have much success. They had a decent start with Abhimanyu Easwaaran (21) and Abhishek Porel put together 34 runs in 3.5 overs. The former was removed by Mrinmoy Dutta. Four batters from the Ranji Trophy holders failed to get past the single-digit mark. Apart from this, even the ones who got past 10 runs, failed to even reach 30 runs.

In the end, they managed to get only 138/8 with Akash Sengupta taking three wickets while Parag took two. On the other hand, the likes of Dutta, Sibsankar Roy, and Sourav Dey took one each.
