‘Ganesh ji ki kripa bani rahe’ – Indian Cricket fraternity wish on occasion of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’

On 19 September 2023, the whole of India celebrate the ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ festival as people celebrate the birth of the Hindu god Ganesha. People believe that proper devotion to him can help them to get blessed with wisdom, success, and good fortune. However, Team India players irrespective of Men and Women are also not an exception as they came up with some wishes while celebrating the festival.

Team India recently came back from Sri Lanka after winning the Asia Cup 2023. KL Rahul made a comeback after his long injury setback in the ‘Super Stage’ with an excellent century against Pakistan. On this auspicious occasion, Rahul wrote: “Wishing you a day filled with joy, festivities and the presence of the divine. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi, everyone.” Apart from him, Cheteshwar Pujara also shared a heartfelt wish for his fans.

Wishes from both the current and former Team India cricketers galore on social media for ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ 

The veteran Test batter wrote: “May Lord Ganesha bless you all with abundant joy and prosperity. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.” On 18 September, Team India’s squad for the upcoming home ODI series against Australia was announced. Rahul will lead the team in the first two matches as Rohit Sharma has been given a rest. He will come back for the third game and lead the team again. Meanwhile, for the first two matches, many new names have been added as Ravichandran Ashwin made a comeback after playing his last ODI way back in January 2022. However, Sanju Samson missed a place in the squad again. 

On the other hand, the India Women are gearing up for the upcoming Asian Games as they will begin their campaign on 21 September. On this occasion, star India women cricketer, Smriti Mandhana wrote: “𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐚! Rejoice in the festivity! Sending warm wishes on Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone.” Former cricketers like VVS Laxman, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble, Suresh Raina, and Yuvraj Singh also shared their warm wishes on this occasion. Kumble wrote: “My warm wishes on the occasion of SwarnaGauri and Ganesh Chaturthi.”
