The Indian fast bowlers have been performing exceptionally well in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, consistently outclassing their opponents. It’s safe to say that the Indian team currently boasts the most potent pace attack in the ODI format currently.

With a formidable lineup featuring bowlers such as Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj, the Indian team is exuding confidence and dominance. However, it appears that some individuals find it hard to accept the extent of Indian bowlers’ success in the tournament. Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza has raised concerns, accusing the Apex Cricket Council of providing different balls to Indian bowlers to enhance their swing compared to others.

Watch the video here:

“The balls given to Indian bowlers should be checked. They are getting more swing and seam. Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj are bowling like Allan Donald and Makhaya Ntini. Even Mathews was surprised to see the amount of swing Shami’s ball got in Mumbai. Either the apex cricket council is helping them, or the Indian Cricket Board is coming to help their bowlers. There could be an involvement of the third umpire as well,” Raza was quoted as saying by CricToday.

Shami has taken 14 wickets in just 3 matches

It’s worth mentioning that when Raza made his Test debut for Pakistan in 1996, there was initially a claim that Raza was the youngest cricketer to ever debut in international cricket at the age of 14 years and 227 days. However, this assertion was later debunked, and the Pakistan Cricket Board had to retract their record claim. Raza played 7 Test and 16 ODI matches for Pakistan in his career during 1996-2005.

Coming back to Indian bowlers, Shami has been the most dangerous Indian pacer in the tournament so far. He has played only 3 matches in the ongoing ODI World Cup and has already taken 14 wickets including 2 five-wicket hauls. Bumrah has played 7 matches and has taken 15 wickets, however, he has the best economy rate in the tournament with 3.72.
