Filmmaker Karan Johar announces an upcoming project with superstar Salman Khan on ‘Bhaijaan’s’ 58th birthday

On the occasion of Salman Khan’s 58th birthday, renowned filmmaker Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note and make a significant announcement. Johar not only wished the Bollywood superstar but also confirmed their collaboration on an upcoming project. Johar reminisced about the time when he was lost and confused at a party two and a half decades ago. It was during this moment of uncertainty that Salman Khan, already a massive movie star, approached him and inquired why he was standing in a corner. Johar candidly revealed that he had faced rejections from several actors for a part in his directorial debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” and it was Salman’s sister who encouraged him to meet the actor.

Recalling the pivotal meeting, Johar expressed gratitude for Salman’s kindness and recounted the nerve-wracking experience of narrating the film’s script. To Johar’s surprise, Salman, at the interval point, offered him water and agreed to be a part of the project. The actor’s response was unexpected, as he stated his love for Johar’s father and humorously added that his sister would kill him if he turned down the movie.

“I went with a prayer in my heart and a deep desire for a miracle and narrated the first part of the film like my life depended on it. He looked at me at the interval point (by then I was looking like I was in the Sahara desert and water could keep me alive) and kindly offered me water and said, ‘I’’m on!!!’”, writes Johar.

“I was perplexed and said, ‘You are in the second half; you haven’t heard it?’ He said, ‘I love your father, and my sister will kill me if I don’t do this movie, and that’s how Salman Khan was in KKHH’,” Johar added.
