Fighter secures U/A certification: CBFC Nods with Modifications as film set to take-off on January 25

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone fans have something exciting to look forward to as their upcoming film, Fighter, has received the green light from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The much-anticipated movie is set to hit cinemas on Republic Day eve, January 25.

However, the CBFC has requested a few modifications before granting the film a U/A (unrestricted but with adult discretion) certificate. One of the requested changes involves the removal of eight seconds of ‘sexually suggested visuals.’ According to reports, the filmmakers have replaced these visuals with more suitable shots to align with the board’s guidelines. Additionally, an audio segment in a TV news scene has been replaced with a 23-second audio clip.

Furthermore, the CBFC has insisted on muting an abusive word and adding an anti-smoking static message in Hindi. After implementing these changes, Fighter was officially granted the U/A certificate on January 19. The film boasts a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes, ensuring audiences a captivating experience when it hits theatres worldwide on January 25.
