Legendary Tennis player Novak Djokovic has expressed his desire to meet Virat Kohli in person. The former, notably, congratulated Kohli for getting Sachin Tendulkar’s 49 ODI hundreds during the first semifinal of the ODI World Cup 2023. India went on to win the game despite some resistance from New Zealand. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Sony Sports, Djokovic revealed that he is having conversations with Kohli on the phone but wants to meet him in person.

As far as Djokovic is concerned, he finished 2023 as the No.1 ranked player on the ATP. It happened to be the eighth year that the Serbian finished on top of the rankings.

The Serbian also broke his record of being the oldest No.1 in the world at the age of 36. Djokovic is currently taking part in the ATP World Tour Finals and is next set to face No.9 seed Hubert Hurkacz.

Djokovic won the US Open 2023 and is set to return to Grand Slams when the Australian Open takes place next year at the Rod Laver Arena.

Virat Kohli made his comeback in T20I cricket

Meanwhile, after keeping themselves out of the shortest format of the game for a year, both Rohit Sharma and Kohli have made their comeback in the team. Ahead of the ongoing three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, both players have returned.

They rested from the T20I format (only played in the IPL 2023) and concentrated on the ODI format. They were the top two highest run-getters of the tournament
