The popular Indian TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) recently completed 15 years on Indian TV. It won’t be wrong to say that TMKOC is the longest-running TV show on Indian TV ever. The show has been entertaining the viewers for a long time. People love to watch the show and some fans even say that they can watch it anytime, especially the old episodes.

Meanwhile, the fans have received a much-awaited announcement regarding the show. Fans were missing Disha Vakani, who used to play a popular character named ‘Daya Bhabhi’. She took a maternity break 6 years ago but never came back to the show after it. However, the show’s producer Asit Modi recently announced that Disha will be back in the show soon.

“In this journey of 15 years, a hearty congratulations to all of them. One such artist is whom we cannot forget. That artist is Daya Bhabhi aka Disha Vakani. She has entertained the fans and also made us laugh for all these years. Fans have been waiting for her to come back and I promise you all that Disha Vakani will soon be back to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” Asit was quoted as saying by India Today.

Asit Modi was tired of answering Disha’s comeback questions

Earlier this year, Asit talked about Disha’s comeback and said that he is tired of answering the same questions of people but as a producer, he has to answer. Asit said that Disha wants to spend time with her family as she has 2 kids now but he wishes to get the original Daya Bhabhi back in the show.

“I am also tired of answering and requesting people not to ask this question. But I am the producer of the show and therefore I’ll have to answer. Even today, I wish that our original Daya Bhabhi aka Disha Vakani comes back. Disha is like my sister. She wants to spend time with her family. She has two kids. If she does not want to come back, I cannot force her.” Asit said.
