The popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah has been the talk of the town recently, however, not for the concept but for the producer of the show, Asit Modi, who was recently accused of se*ual harassment by the former actor of the show Jennifer Mistry. She also lodged an FIR against the producer of the show.

However, she recently revealed that there have been no actions taken by the police against Asit. She said that the Police are taking things very slowly and postponing everything. Mistry said that she is not happy with the police as they are not properly helping her to get justice.

“The police is discouraging me and taking things very slow. Wo cheezo ko taal rahe hain. I am very upset because jaha par justice ke liye fight kar rahi hu, waha ye sab ho raha hai. (They are postponing things. I am very upset because all this is happening when I am fighting for justice) I have also reached out to higher authorities for the same,” Mistry was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

I used to wear my own jewellery for the shoot: Jennifer Mistry

Mistry recently made more shocking revelations and said that the production team never washed their clothes due to which they had to wear the same clothes for 20 days straight. Mistry also revealed she used to wear her own jewellery and even the kids were not given the costumes, they had to make their arrangements themselves.

“The production (team) would not wash our clothes, and we had to wear the same costume for 20 days straight. Since we shot for the whole day, the clothes would smell. There were days when we’d come and wash the clothes ourselves and used to dry them with a dryer. There were a few selected people whose clothes were washed by the team, baaki humein aise hi kaam chalaana padta tha (the rest of us had to work like this),” Mistry said.

“Throughout the show, I wore my own jewellery for the shoot. Shoes ke paise bhi 2-3 saal pehle se dena shuru kare (they started paying for shoes just 2-3 years ago from now). Before that, they used to give us old, ripped shoes that could not even be worn. Children on the set were never given clothes by the production. Woh sab khud apna arrange karte they (they did their own arrangements),” she added.
