The last few days have been really historical for India. The Indian women’s blind cricket team made history on Saturday when it defeated Australia in the IBSA World Games final by nine wickets and took home the gold medal. The Indian women’s team faced up against Australia on August 20 and won by an eight-wicket margin, kicking off their campaign in a fairly spectacular way. India successfully reduced Australia to a total of 59/6 and quickly accomplished the goal.
The Indian side then displayed an amazing performance in their subsequent match against England, scoring 268/2 in just 20 overs. Gangavva H. was the star performer who significantly contributed with a 117-run total from 60 balls. The English team suffered a shocking 185-run defeat as a result of their outstanding performance.
India continued to dominate, extending their winning streak into the third game, which was played on Wednesday. India easily trounced Australia by a huge margin of 163 runs. The team qualified for the finals on Thursday thanks to its incredible performance.
India and Pakistan will be playing in the Men’s IBSA World Games finals
