Ever since Bollywood came into existence only male actors have been playing the role of a villain on screen. But as movies evolved the meaning of villains also changed as from only male actors playing this role, it has been changed to female actors also playing the role of a gangster on screen. This began when Shekhar Kapoor’s ‘Bandit Queen’ released where the gang was only of the women.

Gangsters are no exception to Bollywood’s propensity for bringing complex characters to life on film. In addition to testing the performers, these memorable depictions also leave an impression on the audience. Nowadays, the people are loving the roles of gangsters being played by female actors.

1. Richa Chadha – Fukrey

Richa Chadha plays Bholi Punjaban, a Delhi mobster with a quick wit and a fiery demeanor, in the Fukrey trilogy. Her portrayal of Bholi Punjaban combines ambition, eccentricity, animosity, and charming charm in a fascinating way. This is a role to keep in mind because of Richa’s gutsy attitude to playing the part, which matches her own audacity.
