‘Bhai aapne toh dho diya padosiyon ko’ – Fans react as Irfan Pathan hits back at Pakistan fans after getting trolled for old tweet

India A have suffered an embarrassing 128-run loss against Pakistan A in the final match of the ACC Mens Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, July 22. After the one-sided contest, some of the Pakistan fans started trolling India on social media.

Meanwhile, former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan surprisingly found himself at the centre of attraction after his old tweet goes viral. After India’s thrilling victory over Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup, Irfan took a jibe at Pakistan and trolled them by tweeting, “Padosiyon Sunday kesa raha???”. However, now, it was Pakistan fans’ turn as they reminded Irfan of his old tweet and trolled him after India A’s loss.

But now, the former left-armer has responded back to the trolls and said that the Pakistan fans haven’t forgotten his old tweet, “Ek Sunday ke tweet ko abhi Tak Bhul nahi paae ho. Kitne velle ho? #padosi”. Many Indian fans came in support of Irfan and defended him from the brutal trolls from Pakistan fans.

A brilliant all-round performance by Pakistan

Talking about the match, India won the toss and opted to bowl first but the decision backfired as Pakistan displayed a phenomenal batting performance and amassed a massive total of 352 runs in the first innings. Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan stitched a 121-run stand for the first wicket and set the foundation for a big total.

Tayyab Tahir who came to bat at no. 4 smashed a magnificent century which included 12 fours and 4 sixes. Indian bowlers managed to take 8 wickets but conceded a lot of runs. Chasing the target, India started well with a 64-run partnership for the first wicket between Sai Sudharsan and Abhishek Sharma. 

But the middle-order batters failed miserably as the Men in Blue were bundled out on just 224 runs in just 40 overs. Tayyab was named Player of the Match for his outstanding knock of 108 runs. For India, Abhishek played a 61-run knock which included 5 fours and 1 six but that wasn’t enough for them to win the match.
