India’s young cricketer Prithvi Shaw has been performing exceptionally well for Northamptonshire in the ongoing One-Day Cup in England. Shaw smashed 2 centuries in the tournament in which one was a magnificent double hundred that came against Somerset.

However, Shaw recently injured his knee while fielding during a match and is ruled out of the tournament for a few weeks and is being assisted by the Indian Cricket Board’s medical team. Meanwhile, former legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son and Shaw’s childhood friend Arjun Tendulkar posted a story and wished him a speedy recovery with the caption, “Stay strong buddy, wish you a speedy recovery.”

Talking about Shaw, he had a poor run during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as he scored only 106 runs in the 8 matches he played for Delhi Capitals. His inconsistency has made things worse for him when it comes to making his comeback in the international team. However, his recent performance in the One Day Cup has been phenomenal.

Humble is the perfect word to describe Prithvi Shaw: John Sadler

Shaw played an outstanding knock of 244 runs which included 28 fours and 11 sixes. He played another amazing unbeaten knock of 125 runs off just 76 balls and helped the team to win the match convincingly. Northamptonshire’s head coach John Sadler heaped praise on Shaw and said that he is a very humble person and his skills speak enough for himself.

“Humble is the perfect word to describe Prithvi Shaw. He’s gracious and respectful, he’s loved being a part of the team. We’re loving having him here as well. His skill speaks for itself, he’s a superstar. He’s as good as I’ve seen in 25 years of playing this game. He’s up there with the best in terms of ball striking. He genuinely wants to win games of cricket and has been a star in the dressing room,” Sadler was quoted as saying by India Today.
