The 3-match ODI series between India and Australia kicked off on Friday, September 22 in Mohali. Indian cricket team, who are playing the contest without their key players, are being led by the right-handed batter KL Rahul. The main squad will be back for the 3rd ODI just ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer recently lit up social media with a humorous meme celebrating the return of Ravichandran Ashwin to India’s ODI squad. Ashwin, primarily known for his exceptional spin bowling in Test cricket, had been absent from the ODI scene for quite some time, making his comeback a notable moment for Indian cricket enthusiasts.

Jaffer, known not only for his coaching experience but also for his witty and humorous social media presence, seized the opportunity to share a dose of laughter with his followers. As Axar Patel is also injured, his chances of getting a spot are now increased but that doesn’t mean his performance wouldn’t matter. If he fails to perform in the ongoing Australia series, it is to be believed that he won’t be seen playing ODI cricket in future.
