‘Apne muh miyan mitthu’ – Fans react as Riyan Parag lashes out at critics, says he doesn’t take anything for granted
Indian young allrounder from Assam, Riyan Parag is currently in the form of his life. Parag has been performing brilliantly in the ongoing Deodhar Trophy with both bat and ball. Due to his major contributions to the team, East Zone managed to qualify for the finals of the Deodhar Trophy against South Zone.
Meanwhile, Parag recently opened up on the accusations made towards him by the fans and critics. The right-handed batter often remains in controversy due to his bold statements on social media. However, now he answered all his haters and said that he does not take things for granted and has the craziest work ethic.
“People from Assam haven’t played at the IPL level, I’m going to play a lot more. I do not take anything for granted, I have the craziest work ethic, you can ask people who are close to me. All that goes unnoticed because I don’t brag about it on social media. You can have all the assumptions if you don’t want to know me,”
I think now I’m more mature: Riyan Parag
Parag also talked about his improvements after his brilliant performance in the semifinal match against West Zone in which he smashed 102 runs. He said that earlier he used to smash the spinners for six and used to try playing only lofted shots. However, now, according to him, he has become more mature and assesses the conditions very well.
“I am a lot [more] mature now. I think two years back I might have hit some silly shot off the spinners because that’s my forte, I like hitting six off the spinners. I would have tried to force something and get out. I think now I’m more mature, I assess conditions well, and today was a prime example of that. I took my time, ran a lot of singles, ran a lot of doubles, and gave myself to go like hell in the last 10 overs.”
Here’s how fans reacted:
Probably you are the most active Indian cricketer on social media. By being active, I meant putting self related tweets and not promotional or congratulatory tweets.

He has bragged a lot about his non-cricketinf skills on media, that's why he is not getting any chances. RR has been very kind to give him a place.
