England have made two changes in the 2nd Test against India. For the Vizag Test, James Anderson has come in as the lone pacer. Mark Wood has been rotated in the 2nd Test, they might be handy in the later part of the tour. It is a huge change in the lineup considering what Anderson brings to the table with his skill sets.

The star pacer from England could not play the 1st Test as the visiting side preferred a lone pacer in Wood. It is not much different in the 2nd Test either, as England has gone with the sole pacer again. But this time around, the veteran has made it to the Playing XI.

Ahead of the 1st day of the 2nd Test, England announced their playing XI for the Vizag Test. They have gone with two changes, both of them being that of the spinners. England will be opening with the duo of Ben Duckett and Zack Crawley both of whom are aggressive by nature.

Shoaib Bashir replaces injured Jack Leach

To follow the duo would be the impressive Ollie Pope who was brilliant in the 1st Test. Experienced batters like Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, and Ben Stokes will bat at 4, 5, and 6 respectively. Ben Foakes will be the WK batter in the side and will bat at 7 for England.

Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley will continue to be in the XI of England in the 2nd Test. James Anderson will be the lone pacer in the attack of the visiting side. For Jack Leach who was injured and got ruled out of the 2nd Test, Shoaib Bashir has come in, after facing a lot of challenges.

The young spinner faced issues to get his visa before he could land in India. The England captain expressed his disappointment regarding the same. When he landed in India, Bashir got to celebrate the win at Hyderabad. The young spinner would be looking forward to having a great debut for England in the longest format of the game.
