Ambati Rayudu opens up on leaving YSRCP
Ambati Rayudu has decided to exit from YSRCP. The former Indian cricketer has decided to take part in ILT20 in UAE. A few weeks back, Rayudu was announced as a member of the political party named YSRCP months after he announced his retirement from the IPL. As the fate has turned out, Cricket has called the Indian batter yet again.
The former CSK player announced the same on his account on X. The star batter claimed that he would be representing MI Emirates in the ILT20 in the upcoming season. For a batter to be eligible to play in the league, their association with a political party must come to an end. As a result, Rayudu will no longer be a part of YSRCP. The star batter confirmed the same on X.
“I Ambati Rayudu will be representing the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILt20 from Jan 20th in Dubai. Which requires me to be politically nonaffiliated whilst playing professional sport,” wrote Rayudu. The veteran of the IPL sides like MI and CSK mentioned that he had to be politically non-affiliated to take part in the league in UAE, which will be starting from the 20th of June.
Nicholas Pooran to lead MI Emirates
Rayudu will be playing under a new captain in the league. Rayudu will be playing under the leadership of Nicholas Pooran in the ILT20 later this month. MI Emirates took to X and announced Pooran as their captain for the new season of ILT20. The owners of MI announced that Kieron Pollard, who was the captain of MI Emirates in 2023 would lead MI Cape Town in SA20.
“Nicholas Pooran will take over captain duties at MI Emirates ahead of the new season of ILT20. Kieron Pollard, the skipper for the 2023 season, has been named the skipper of the MI Cape Town side this year,” wrote MI Emirates on their account on X. It will be a good opportunity for Rayudu to spend some time playing cricket, his best field to date.
