Ambati Rayudu lauds MS Dhoni while speaking about latter’s legacy

Former India skipper MS Dhoni is loved and admired by fans and cricketers alike for his amazing achievements and performances. It was under the captaincy of Dhoni that the Chennai Super Kings won their fifth IPL title this year.

One man who played a short but key role in the finals win is none other than Ambati Rayudu. The 38-year-old was recently seen speaking on the TRS show which is a popular podcast on YouTube.

During the course of the interaction, Rayudu was seen lauding the efforts of the wicketkeeper batter. The former India and CSK batter spoke about what Dhoni brings to the table as the skipper and how the latter’s legacy will go down as.

Ambati Rayudu heaps praise on MS Dhoni’s legacy –

The Hyderabad player was a guest on the popular YouTube podcast The Ranveer Show. The 38-year-old was speaking about how huge MS Dhoni’s legacy is in world cricket.

Ambati Rayudu said “I mean see everybody knows that he has brought the best out the best in so many players and across formats, even he has brought out the best in many foreigners that have played for CSK. I think he has it in him. I don’t even know how to express it because he is either blessed or he has cultivated it over so many years of playing the sport”

The former Indian batter also said “But many times I wonder why is he doing something which I wouldn’t think is appropriate. But the end of the day, results show that he was right and he’s right 99.9 percent of the time, that shows he knows what he is doing and he has done it for such a long time and so successfully that I don’t think anybody in Indian cricket are in a position to question his decisions now because he’s been so successful.”

When asked how MS Dhoni is with the overseas players, Ambati Rayudu said “Of course, it doesn’t matter. He is our leader so I mean he doesn’t shout just for the sake of shouting. But he will tell them subtly that this is what expected types is.”
