The broadcasters release poster for the IPL auction 2024, which is set to happen later today in Dubai. For the first time ever in the history of the auction, the audience will be allowed to witness the live of players going under the hammer in the biggest cricket league. Fans are excited to watch the auction but are stuck with a blow by the move from the broadcasters.

The official poster for the mini auction is out and has been a bit controversial as per some fans. Rohit Sharma, the most successful captain in the history of the league is missing out from the poster, which has not gone well with his fans. It has been like a fuel on the fire, as they have already suffered a big blow last week in terms of announcement of new captain of Mumbai Indians.

In the place of Rohit, there has been an image of Hardik Pandya, which has again not gone well with the fans. But the case is different when it is being dealt with other teams. For instance, despite not being the captain of the teams, Virat Kohli’s image is being included in the poster over Faf Du Plessis, who happens to be the captain of RCB.

Star players feature in poster

Apart from these aspects, the poster has the images of some of the best players in the world currently. It features the likes of Sanju Samson, Rishab Pant, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik, Virat, MS Dhoni at the center, Shreyas Iyer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Shikhar Dhawan. Interestingly, all the players in the poster are from India.

The focus seems to be on the captaincy of MI, which has been scrutinized by the fans. But the poster features some of the vest players in the world currently. Most of them are also the captains of the side. But the eligibility probably has to do with the popularity of the players in the world cricket. With the auction just hours away from starting, the poster has divided the fans.

Here’s how the fans reacted to the poster –
