2 Indian cricketers who will be part of upcoming CPL 2023

The much-awaited 11th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is set to start on August 17. After the historic 3-2 win over the Indian team in the 5-match T20I series, the Caribbean stars are set to be featured in one of the most entertaining T20 Leagues in the world. 

However, for the first time ever, there will be 2 Indian cricketers who will be featured in CPL 2023. It is known that the Indian Cricket Board don’t allow Indian cricketers to play other franchise leagues other than the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, Indian women cricketers are allowed to play in BBL and The Hundred. On that note, let’s take a look at 2 Indian cricketers who will be featured in the upcoming season of CPL.

1. Ambati Rayudu

Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu may not have played many international games but the performance he has given in IPL is enough to tell how talented and destructive he is. Rayudu was recently supposed to play in the Major Cricket League but for some personal reasons, he pulled out of the tournament.

Rayudu was part of the IPL 2023 winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad. Rayudu has played 204 matches in IPL and scored 4348 runs at an average of 28.23. He is set to be a part of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the upcoming CPL 2023.

2. Shreyanka Patil

Indian women’s cricket team’s young cricketer Shreyanka Patil will also be part of Women’s CPL 2023. Shreyanka was also featured in the Women’s Premier League where she performed really well and got to play for the Indian national team in the Women’s Emerging Teams Cup where she picked 9 wickets in just 2 matches. Talking about her WPL stats, she played 7 matches in WPL and picked up 6 wickets while also scoring 62 runs. She will be a part of the Guyana Amazon Warriors in Women’s CPL 2023.
