Yuzvendra Chahal is currently busy playing in the County Championship Division One for Kent. In his debut match, he picked up five wickets and the match ended in a draw. But, now, he hit the headlines for a cheeky comment on his wife, Dhanashree Verma’s recent Instagram post. She shared some images of her with the caption: “She’s got the Friday night blues” with a blue heart emoji.

In reply to that, Chahal wrote: “My Taj Mahal”. Seeing such a cheeky comment, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media. Meanwhile, Chahal is currently out of Team India as he did not get selected for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Even, selectors ignored him in the squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India. So, it is quite a frustrating stage for Chahal in his cricketing career.

“Not picking Chahal is beyond me.” – Shoaib Akhtar

Yuzvendra Chahal’s World Cup snub did not go well with the former Team India spinner, Harbhajan Singh. While speaking at a press conference arranged by the official broadcaster of the Asia Cup 2023, Harbhajan said: “Two players are missing – (Yuzvendra) Chahal and Arshdeep (Singh) – the left arm seamer could have been very useful because he can give early wickets. You have seen that Shaheen Afridi and Mitchell Starc can create a very different kind of impact.”

“Yuzi Chahal is a proven match-winner, if he were playing for any other team in the world, he would have been in the first XI. He has proved himself time and time again and it is unfortunate that he missed out from the Indian side,” he said.

Even, the former Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar also looked surprised and said: “Not picking Chahal is beyond me. The odd thing for India is that when they score 220-230 they increase one batter. If the top 5 do not bat well, how will the no. 8 bat?”
