Team India are currently busy playing in the ongoing T20I series in West Indies. But, senior players like Virat Kohli and regular skipper, Rohit Sharma are not a part of the squad and hence, Hardik Pandya is leading the side. But, recently, Rohit’s captaincy has raised questions among fans. He is known for his captaincy brilliance for Mumbai Indians (MI) as he has won five IPL trophies.

But, after getting appointed as the skipper of Team India across all three formats, he has failed to win any major tournaments. First, in 2022, he failed to win both the Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup. Then, he got another chance in the World Test Championship (WTC) final but lost that too against Australia. Now, ahead of the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup, a great test await Rohit. But, the former India international and star all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh has shown support to Rohit.

But, while he supported the current India skipper, he came up with a comment that did not go well with MS Dhoni fans. Yuvraj claimed that Rohit has been struggling for not having a great team but MS Dhoni had a good team to his service. Hence, despite being a great leader, it also helped him to win trophies. While talking on an episode of a YouTube channel, named Cricket Basu, Yuvraj said: “Rohit Sharma is a good captain but you’ll have to give a good team to him. MS Dhoni was a good captain too but he had a good team and experienced players.”

Yuvraj won both the 2007 20-20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. In fact, he was one of the main performers on both occasions for the Men in Blue. However, since his playing days, fans claimed that both these players are not so comfortable with each other. So, listening to such a comment, MS Dhoni fans seemed unhappy as they slammed the former all-rounder brutally on social media.
