Former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has been making headlines for different reasons this month. After the Men in Green’s horrible run in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023, Babar decided to resign from the captaincy from all formats of the game.

Meanwhile, now, Babar has again become the talk of the town as he bought a ravishing new purple Lamborghini Aventador. Pakistani fans have congratulated Babar for the latest addition to his car collection. However, there were also some fans who started comparing Babar’s car with the iconic Tarzan: The Wonder Car. A movie was also based on that car with Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

I will continue to represent Pakistan as a player: Babar Azam

Babar announced that he is leaving the captaincy through a social media post in which he said that it was quite a difficult decision but it’s the right time to take this call. However, Babar also mentioned that he will continue to represent Pakistan as a batter. He also thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for supporting him throughout his captaincy tenure.

“Today, I am stepping down as the captain of Pakistan in all formats. It’s a difficult decision but I feel it is the right time for this call. I will continue to represent Pakistan as a player in all three formats. I am here to support the new captain and the team with my experience and dedication. I want to express my sincere thanks to the Pakistan Cricket Board for entrusting me with this significant responsibility.” he said.

PCB have already announced the captain of Pakistan’s Test and T20I team. Star pacer Shaheen Afridi is appointed as Pakistan’s T20I captain while Shan Masood is named Pakistan’s Test captain. There were also some changes in the coaching staff as Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal are appointed as Pakistan’s fast bowling and spin bowling coach.
