Former India skipper Mithali Raj has attracted criticism for her recent tweet. Apparently, a renowned journalist pointed out her mindset for ODI cricket. Ahead of the washed-out warm-up game between India and England on September 30, Raj and former England skipper Kevin Pietersen were asked about how much the Men In Blue should look to score. For the unversed, the home team had won the toss and elected to bowl first.

While the former India skipper said 280, Pietersen called for 350. The latter even said that anything below his predicted score would be under par. Barspara Stadium, Guwahati was hosting the game and the ground is small. Meanwhile, a renowned journalist wrote about the same on his Twitter.

This tweet was reposted by none other the former India skipper.

Talking about her career, she made her international debut in 1999. The right-hander has played six World Cups from 2001 to 2022. During this, she led the team to the 2017 final and her team reached the final in 2005 as well. Last year, they missed out on the semis after which she announced her retirement from the game.

In 2019, she bid adieu to her T20I career, having played her last a year back.
